Big Sister Pigtails

Ezri calls these “big sister” pigtails.
This was our first attempt to put her in pigtails.
She wanted them.
She did not want to hold still to get them.
I tried and failed, but Eric managed to get two very uneven “big sister” pigtails in her hair.

I put my hair in pigtails and Ezri declared proudly that we “matched.”
She is very big into identifying things that match.
Yesterday, Ezri and I matched because we were both wearing tank tops.
Today, we matched as we were both wearing raincoats.
Big Bird and bananas match because they are both yellow.
Sometimes, she will declare a match and it will take me awhile to figure out that both items mentioned are say food and thus match in edibility. Sometimes, I don’t figure out why the two things match, but I am sure there is a metric by which they do.

Here she is obviously pleased with her pigtails.

If the pigtails make the big sister, it is good Ezri has a few months to grow hair and patience before her baby brother arrives.

Little brother huh? You realize you’re bucking the trend of dual-Carleton couples having only girls right? 🙂 Love the pigtails and that smile…she’s such a sweetie!

I was absolutely certain for the first months of pregnancy that it would be a little sister, but the ultrasound tech assured us this one’s a boy. She even showed us on the screen his boy parts. You are right about the trend though. There’s John Perry’s boys. . . but I am struggling to think of another dual-Carleton couple with boys.
