Pumpkin Patch
September 28th, 2016 — Uncategorized
We threw our pumpkins last fall in the compost bin.
This spring they sprouted and we decided to see what would happen.
We now have pumpkin vines covering about a fourth of our backyard and there is debate about whether they will reach the house before frost gets them.
Most small pumpkins have been chewed into by squirrels, but a couple are turning orange and may make it to being picked.
We’ll see.
The vines that are ever spreading.
Here’s the one that might make it.
And this one because it say so much about the sibling relationship at my house.

Puzzle Postcards

The kids enjoyed putting together Yellowstone puzzles sent by Grandma Tam. Ezri debated whether to try for putting it together on the word side with the letter or the picture side with the bison. She opted for assembling the picture side and then flipping it to read the letter because some of the pieces had no words on them but all the pieces had picture. Thanks, Tam, for the afternoon fun and reminder of our Yellowstone adventures.
