I think it’s been about a year and a half that I’ve been saying we’d find a time to have Ezri’s school friends over to play and celebrate fairies and have the fairy cake as described with recipe in the Fairy Bell Sisters’ books.

Today was that day.

We ate the blueberry cake that Ezri and I baked too. But, I didn’t take a photo.

Three families who get together once in a while for a “half sleepover.”
We have dinner and then try to get all the kids to sleep or at least pretend to while the grown-ups play boardgames together. After games we carry sleepy children to their respective homes to wake in their own beds.

This is a photo of all the kids at half sleepover. It is not a good photo, but look how they love building with the magnetiles.  And they are all in the same place at the same time.
The kids range from 4 to 11, when we started half sleepover two of them had not yet been born.

Earlier at the park:

This was a “Friend Day” on a Tuesday.

Ezri is “an Anna” and “the Elsa” tries to freeze her with her snow queen powers.  Ivan as “the Olaf” tags “Annas” to unfreeze them with the warmth of his love.  So, basically just freeze tag.

And we had a picnic too.
