It was my first time in the zoo’s petting zoo area where you can get close to wallabies, brush goats, and hang in an aviary with hundreds of parakeets. The kids had been there once before. The alpaca was pretty adorable.

This was Ezri’s favorite goat. He was quite friendly and liked being brushed and followed her around a bit.

The kids loved climbing on the statues in the sensory gardens at Hamill Play Zoo. They also really liked building homes with tarps, logs, and rocks (not pictured).

When do the kids sit still enough for a photo? Snack time! Though there was a lot of concern about the geese who kept steadily coming closer. It’s like they suspected someone would drop a cracker.

It measured up to be at least adult dolphin sized fun.

We took our monthly playdate with Meghan to the zoo.

Is Ezri’s wingspan greater than an eagle’s?
No.

Is Ezri bigger than a grizzly bear?
No.

Is Meghan bigger than a grizzly bear?
No.

Are Meghan & Ezri bigger than a grizzly bear?
No.

What if Ezri reaches?
Still no.

Can Ezri ride a kangaroo?
Yes!
