The kids lit sparklers and ran in big loops through the backyard. There was also a pool and plenty of patriotic snacks at this BBQ party that celebrated what’s good about America like family, cookies, and resistance against the policies of our current administration.

Back in my day we didn’t have green screens where you could put yourself in dinosaur photos. It was a rough childhood.
