The lighted tree in Downtown Downers. We found some of the ornaments Ezri’s Brownie troop made for the tree though we couldn’t identify hers. We think it’s probably up high. It has a unicorn on it.

Seven Blaus (and Tim)

Ezri helped a little with preparation of pie and mashed potatoes this year.
We played Apples to Apples Junior, climbed trees, colored pillows, built LEGO ATV racers, read books and both kids ate a piece of all 4 kinds of pie.
There was a delicious feast with squash, turkey, green beans, gravy, stuffing, yams and all the best things. Ivan mostly ate turkey but Ezri likes stuffing and squash and cranberries.
It was nice to have family together and we have a lot for which to be thankful.

Josie’s 9th Birthday Party at Selfie Party Fun
November 7th, 2017 — Uncategorized
Josie had her birthday party at a place that just had you take pictures of yourself and sing karaoke.
Kids were invited to come in costume.
It worked for the assembled as a goofy good time.
Here’s some photos.

Doreen Green on Halloween
November 2nd, 2017 — dress-up, halloween
Ezri dressed up as The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl AKA Doreen Green.
She enjoys computer science, talking to squirrels, saving babies, having an awesome tail, solving things through conversation and when that is NOT possible kicking butts.
Her tagline is Kicking Butts and Eating Nuts – which are two of her favorite things to do.
Ivan agreed to be her main squirrel friend Tippy the Wonder Squirrel after writing his animal report on squirrels last year in Kindergarten.
Together they are working on developing their own squirrel language chittersqueak.
They think these costumes Eric made are totally ChichichiCHI” which I think means “awesome” in chittersqueak.
Kids did not want to pause in trick-or-treating for a group photo – it shows
Ezri went out a couple blocks without a grown-up with this Arctic Fox and Wolf. The girls had a walkie talkie and checked in with base regularly for the minutes they were gone. Still, it felt like a milestone to have her out with friends and no parent.
