First Grade Butterfly Release

They hatched eggs into caterpillars of Painted Lady butterflies. The caterpillars lived in the classroom and did their cocooning. This week they released them to fly and be free!
Ezri described briefly holding a butterfly gently in her cupped hands before letting it go.

We are not really in the Grand Tetons.
The slowest lines are those with ice cream sandwiches at the end.
We spent a lot of time at the Harry Potter scribble wall creating and coloring.
A couple of poop themed photo ops presented themselves. And the girls were interested.
We were fascinated by any book with cats or kittens.
Lines to meet authors are way better with friends.
We came back with books to read and a bunch of booky totebags. Good times!
The girl keeps getting bigger. The acorn stays the same size.

Late to Daffodil Glade

The last few years we’ve made it while the daffodils were in full bloom, but this year we went on a rainy, cold day when they were past their prime.
We still had lots of fun chasing ducks and “sending secret messages” by dropping sticks and leaves on one side of the path and collecting them on the other side after they’d washed through a corrugated drainage pipe.
