Ezri is still smiling – we love it.

Hostessing

Ezri used to just be an adorable lump for company, but now she’s started helping to entertain folks. She smiles and looks up at folks. Here she seems to be hitting Mike in the chin. I am sure it is all in good fun.

Banana Bandit

Baby clothes like to have phrases written on them.
Usually syrupy things like
“precious”
“mommy loves me”
“daddy’s sidekick”
“snuggle time”
This outfit says Banana Bandit on it and has a monkey cowboy on it with a banana on the butt. I LIKE it.

11 lbs. 14 oz. of Ezri

The doctor confirms Ezri is pushing 12 lbs. Soon she will outweigh the household cats, though the big tom might be 15 lbs so she’s still got some growing to do!

The Best of Times/The Worst of Times

Yesterday Ezri got vaccinated. I felt bad because I knew what was coming but she was unaware that the nurse was prepping a needle.  Then came the shot, the scream, and the tears and wobbly lower lip that said how could you! While I am 100% certain it is better than getting diptheria the vaccination lead to the fussiest afternoon and evening Ezri has had yet. She was not feeling well. Meghan was unfortunate enough to babysit for Ezri during this period when she was either asleep or crying. In this photo the preferable sleep is displayed.

Today is much better and Ezri is happy or asleep. In this picture of her trip to the Morton Arboretum she is again asleep, but happily so. It’s so nice to have a 70 degree day after so much winter and so GREAT that Ezri is feeling better.  She still has the tell-tale band-aids on both chubby thighs.
