Ezri is sitting on the floor playing with her toys all by herself these days. She doesn’t need adult assistance to sit up. She has it under control.

Carrots

Ezri made her first solid turd today.
Now I am officially one of those parents who talks about her child’s poop.
In addition to the turd, Ezri also played on the swings at the park and giggled while playing tambourine to Beck on the stereo.
I think Ezri has rhythm. We can hope she inherited that from Eric. My rhythm is terrible.
The Pool
September 20th, 2009 — Uncategorized
The pool at Coral and Jason’s place was a big hit with Ezri.
She loved bouncing in the water and playing with a miniature Mickey soccer ball.
She loved water and splashing. Playing splash ball with Jason was giggle inducing.
The one moment that didn’t go so well was when Jason decided Ezri would love it if he went under water and popped up right in front her.
That looked like this. . .
Ezri’s gone from screaming when water touched her for bathtime to pool-giggling girl in just 7 months.
I may need to find her some splash opportunities here in Illinois.
Visiting the great-great aunts & uncles in California

Ezri may have been a little too interested in Shirley’s earrings.
Ezri enjoyed all the artwork and statuary to look at in Lou and Evelyn’s home.
Great Nana Banana
September 15th, 2009 — Uncategorized
Ezri enjoyed staying with her Great Nana Vera in Santa Barbara. Here she is too fascinated with her own foot to look up for the camera.
In this one Vera is too interested in Ezri to look up at the camera. I don’t blame her. Ezri is one interesting kid.
This was clearly a great meeting of the minds complete with very formal handshake.
Nana and Ezri share a certain look while I am the only one who seemed to smile for the camera.
Great Aunt Deb and Great Uncle Grant

Ezri charmed all she met on her trip to California.
Here she is with her Great Aunt Deb learning piano skills on her Great Nana’s piano.
She really loves banging on the piano.
Here she is with Deb at Dutch Gardens Restaurant where she accidentally kicked the beer tap and enjoyed looking at the decorative gnomes.
Here is Ezri with Grant when she visited him at work at Alpha School.
Visiting Goleta Beach

Ezri liked watching the waves, but when the Pacific touched her toes she squealed in displeasure at the chilly ocean water.
She also enjoyed her walk along the beach from her carrier on Eric’s chest.
Seven Months
September 12th, 2009 — monkey-monkey
Monkey-monkey had to be packed and toted to California so that he could be photographed with Ezri at the 7 month mark.
Was it worth it with all the other luggage (car seat, baby monitor, bottles, diapers, baby carrier, and so on)?
I think so.

Ezri already likes some of her mom’s favorite things.
