Ezri had a lot of fun at the Harry Potter fest in Naperville today.

Happily After Hours – late night library party

Naper Library hosted an after hours party for members for their Book & Cookie club.
Ezri brought her friend Alice and there was trivia, giant board games, pizza, scavenger hunt, stories and more.
She also stayed up until nearly midnight.

Happy Salmon Game for collecting coins to be turned in for COOKIES!

Clapping games in the dark, closed library

This seems like a good post to add these two photos of an earlier Book and Cookie meeting on the book Sidekicks by Dan Santat.

She made a pom pom creature for the librarian who leads the club.

Here she is posing with the book discussion title of the month.

Muddy Bears

Fountain

“It moves when I tell it to. Watch!”
I’m pretty sure it was just cycling on a set rhythm, but Ezri believes the fountain was listening to her.
It cannot be denied that she spoke to it and the water jets spurted.

WONDER EZRI

She’s eating superman ice cream but we both think there should be a flavor called Wonder Woman.

Getting our money out of our Six Flags season passes

“I’ve named her seaweed because of her hair.”

I love this outfit. And her commitment to the high socks even in the heat of the day.

She and her brother spent a lot of time riding things separately because they are on different sides of being “tall enough to ride.” But they enjoyed riding the Triple Play together!

Ezri has now been on all the coasters at Six Flags except for Superman and the small historic Little Dipper coaster. Ivan likes to call it the Little Diaper and he rode it today.

The newest coaster is The Joker which Ezri rode with Eric. I asked her how it was and she said, “AWESOME! A little scary but so much fun.” Eric said, “Yeah, you would hate it.” I’m sure they’re both correct.

Ezri age 8 with Monkey-monkey for scale

Since Ivan wanted a monkey-monkey photo, Ezri needed one too.
It appears we took the last one on her 4th birthday.
My how she’s grown!

Monkey-monkey spent part of the afternoon out in the secret base (aka tent) in the backyard.
