It’s above freezing.

There’s no active percipitation.
It’s time to go to the park.

Upon getting outside Ezri said, “It’s sunny.”
Then she pointed up and said, “Ezri see moon.” Indeed, even with the sun shining you could see the moon in the sky.
It’s also warm enough that there are muddy puddles to stomp in.

I’m not sure why we were the only ones at the park this afternoon, but we had a good time. It was a little tricky to get to the park because while the rest of the neighborhood has shoveled their sidewalks, the park district has not gotten around to the sidewalk in front of the park. Ezri ran through the snow to the swings as if greeting old friends. It has been awhile.

She showed me how she can swing big girl style. “Ezri big girl swinging.”

I vetoed her ideas about climbing the jungle gym ladders or swinging on the monkey bars. Mittens and clunky wet boots are not safety tested for these activities and I decided we would not test them today.

She did slide down into the snowpile over & over again.

It was great to be outside and made me hungry for spring. We did hear twittering birds on our walk to the park. So, we know it will come.
