Ezri and I play peek-a-boo around corners and around furniture quite a bit these days. These pix are from a game of table peeking. It’s also gotten harder when she is in certain moods to get her clothes back on her. At least she has those nice green socks to keep her feet warm.

What is Ezri Reading?
February 4th, 2010 — books
Ezri is enjoying an animal excyclopedia for early readers from called The World of Baby Animals by Ton van Eerbeek published by Balloon Books. Each page has a big full color photo of an animal with a small paragraph at an early reader level of facts. Ezri enjoys pointing at the animals in turn. Each page has an animal and the two page spreads are paired. Most of the animal pairings make sense Dog & Cat, Puma & Cheetah, Orangutan & Chimpanzee, but then there’s Squirrel & Elephant and I haven’t figured how those two go together. Though I did learn a baby squirrel is about the size of a pinkie finger at birth.
This book is not a board book and Ezri is getting much better at gently handling the pages of a standard book. She still isn’t left alone to handle a non-board book, but we do let her turn pages in our laps.
Please Open the Door
February 3rd, 2010 — Uncategorized
Since Mancato is not smart enough to jump the baby gate sometimes he gets trapped on the same side as the toddler.
The cat kept looking at the door like I should open it, but I was busy with the camera.
She did do some nice. if under-appreciated, petting.
I felt it was my duty to open the door when Ezri decided Mancato was a pillow – a nice furry pillow.
Pom pom scarf
February 1st, 2010 — Uncategorized
I made this scarf thinking I’d wear it, but Ezri has declared it her snuggly.
She napped with it today and carried it around the house. Her walking is getting so good that she only almost tripped on the trailing scarf a couple of times. Thanks, Kelly, for the yarn to make the scarf. . .err, snuggly.
In other news, Ezri now has top molars. The bottoms are still coming, but we sense she is working on them and hope they appear soon.
