Eric bought a couple of boxes that we put on a low shelf thinking maybe they’d be less appealing for Ezri to grab.
Ezri now knows what to do with boxes. She pulled the first one off the shelf and opened it. I thought no harm in playing with empty boxes. Glad we didn’t store anything in them yet.

Once the first one had been opened to Ezri’s delight she found a second box on the shelf.

Then there were two open boxes. Ta da!

But, wait, this box does have something in it.

Ezri found the extra box fasteners in a plastic bag. I had to say, “Ezri, give me the choking hazard.” “Please, Ezri, give me the choking hazard.”

She gave them up and wailed. I had to put down the camera for that part, so it is undocumented.

Ezri went for a wellness check today to see her doctor.
She weighs slightly over 20 lbs and is 30 inches long (or tall depending on how you reckon it).
This puts her in the 85th percentile for weight and 97th for height.
Her head circumference is 45 3/4 cm and her hemoglobin is 12.8 (which is perfectly normal according to health care professionals).
Our girl is SO BIG and healthy.
She even smiled after getting her shots. She now has matching red band-aids on each thigh.

She was really happy up there until Eric tried to stop her from pulling his hair.

We used the library’s circulating zoo pass to take Ezri to the zoo for free (or just the parking fee anyway).

Ezri expressed interest in petting the snow leopard which was inconveniently behind glass. We tried to explain that this kitty wasn’t like her domestic house cat friends.

Ezri met a pony at the Children’s Zoo.

While she remains as interested in other children as the animals, we had a great family day at the zoo.

Bathtime is lots of fun these days.
For 4 months Ezri has liked bathtime, but now she has discovered bath toys and splashing. Bathtime rules.

Ezri is listening to her grandpa play for her.
In addition to listening to music, Ezri likes to create some noise herself.
She has rhythm and loves to pound on things and beat things together – especially loud things like pans and spoons.

Ezri found one of the 24 gnomes hidden in the Children’s Garden at the Arboretum.

It is the Willow Tree gnome. Each gnome highlights a tree or animal living at the arboretum.

Oh, gnome! Ezri, gnomes are not for chewing. We decided it was best to admire gnomes from a little further away after this gnome incident.
