Our girl scratched her face giving her the nickname “Scarface Blau.”
You can see the little scratch there on her cheek.
She had to wear these mittens until Eric got brave enough to trim her teeny tiny nails. Ezri’s first manicure from dad.

Charlotte looks very big next to Ezri – she’s just one year old and pretty small herself, but it’s all relative I suppose.

She really is in there. It’s just cold out in Illinois in February.

Katie points out that you can insert “Ezri” into any song with the word “every” in it.
This prompts us to sing “Ezri rose has its thorn. . .” and “Ezri-body have fun tonight. Ezri-body wang chung tonight!”

Ezri checked out her first book – Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak on her very own library card.  She enjoyed being admired by the library staff – though she slept through the whole visit.

Ezri needs to grow a bit to fit into it, but it already looks good on Ezri.

Amanda’s favorite quotes from Eric on fatherhood include:

“It’s good to have three extra nipples.” (referring to the kind that fit atop a bottle of breastmilk.)
