The owl and the pussy cat

This afternoon we did a craft project with toilet paper rolls.

Ezri really enjoyed using markers to decorate an owl and a pussy cat.

They needed to go to a little girl’s party according to Ezri and they needed to be dressed up in dancing clothes.

I tried my best to fashion dancing skirts.

She declared, “Now, we are all dressed up and ready to go!” Then it turned out to be a macaroni and cheese, dancing, and jumping game party. We fed them imaginary macaroni with spoons and played the jumping game. Pussy cat rode on owl while he flew in circles. Ezri says, “Owls fly. Kitties ride.” We did the kitty dance in which Ezri and I sing the meowing song from those old Meow Mix commercials and both our toilet tubes rock out. Kitty and owl had deep conversations in hoots and meows.

It was a good party and made me realize we don’t need so many fancy toys when we have discarded cardboard tubes and markers.
