All swaddled up like a burrito, Ezri relaxes on Eric’s lap.

I continue to be awed that she has all her bits.  Everything I’ve got from lips to liver is in this one small package.

This is the family celebrating the day Eric and I consider our dating anniversary at the hospital.

We celebrate the 2nd Saturday of February each year as our first official date was  to the Carleton College Midwinter Ball held on that Saturday in 1995.  This year Ezri joins the celebration.

Oddly enough that first date was on February 11, 1995 – exactly 14 years before Ezri’s birthday.

Ezri missed being born on Charles Darwin’s 200th birthday by one day (she came just one day too soon).
Luckily, she still manages to keep close to Darwin.

Library staff stopped by to deliver Ezri’s library card, when she was but two days old.

On Thursday, Liz returns and gets to hold her granddaughter.

One set of grandparents (Liz and Harvey, who are lucky enough to live relatively close by) meet their granddaughter on her birthday.

The other set of grandparents will arrive in 10 days.

Released from the NICU with a clean bill of health, Ezri has joined Amanda and Eric.
