Ezri has been trying to crawl.
She has not yet achieved crawling.
Sometimes when she can’t move like she’d like to it is very frustrating.
It’s tiring too.
Just another CarleSpawn weblog

Here she is in her sunhat getting ready to go to Morton Arboretum.
She enjoyed touching the leaves and looking at the flowers.
She almost grabbed something with thorns, but I stopped her in the nick of time.

I am actually trying pretty hard to keep my glasses on in this photo.
Ezri helped to make them tipsy on my nose before turning to chew her fist.
She has started grabbing glasses, hair, and things on the table in front of her that look interesting.
We must be very careful about what we leave in her grabbing radius from here on out.

It’s been a big week.
Ezri’s been eating mushy rice with increased skill.
When she sees a parent with a spoon she starts smacking her lips in a way that let’s us know she too would like to eat with a spoon.
And, most wonderfully, there was a completely cry-free Ezri bathtime last night.
It seems Ezri loathing bathtime may be waning.
After five months of screaming and howling whenever being put in a tub, we are relieved to know that it isn’t always torture to get clean.
Who knows – perhaps a happy bathitme photo will be coming soon.
Ezri also had a nice video chat on skype with her Aunt Amy yesterday.
A good week for our girl.

We started Ezri on solid food with a thin mushy rice gruel.
First she needed a caterpillar appetizer.
Then we had the main course. . .
Much food went on her bib, but she sucked on the spoon and swallowed a few times.
So, we figure Ezri is interested in food. Our next step is a thicker rice gruel – lucky Ezri.
