Now that Ezri can crawl she is all about crawling over to places to try to pull up to standing. She has not yet developed the skills to correctly predict whether something can bear her weight or whether it is stable. Yikes!

The Junior Room librarians let Ezri crash their Wizard of Oz trio as one of the witch’s monkeys. Thanks, Junior Room.
Happy Halloween!

We started our Halloween at the Downers Grove Library for Miss Sharon’s Halloween storytime and stopped for a snack with friends.
At home , Ezri took my apple and actually bit off pieces and chewed and swallowed some of them. Other pieces of apple ended up on her clothes and the futon. I am still impressed.
This is Ezri in her Rose Weasley costume as the littlest Gryffindor.
I am sure Ron and Hermione dressed their daughter just like this for alumni weekend at Hogwarts.
Watching the leaves fall

Ezri is watching the leaves fall in her monkey suit.
Her grandma and great-nana decided she needed a monkey suit and I think she likes it.
Is she Halloween ready or what?
Sundays At The Park with Ezri

Ezri loves the swings, but other playground equipment at the local park has also become interesting to her.
Why play with your rattle or ball when there are shoes around?

Fall Day at the Arboretum
October 6th, 2009 — Uncategorized
Ezri met her first pumpkins. She thought banging her hands on the big, round orange pumpkins was grand.
Since it was just the two of us, I tried to take our photo together with the old reach out the arm method.
The Toddler Garden in the Children’s Garden has become very fun. When we visited last spring Ezri just napped, but now she is into looking and playing with everything. The garden has a xylophone and mirrors and this giant acorn you can sit inside.
Rolling around in the acorn tunnel was a hit.
The giant mirrored ball was fascinating and offered another opportunity for a photo of us together.
My first day of unemployment was really lovely and I enjoyed the sun even more knowing the winter is coming.
Meghan took some great photos of Ezri enjoying a lovely fall day.

Here she is discovering a fall leaf.

Ezri loves the swings at the park. Meghan was the first to put her into the swing on her own. You can see in this photo how happy it makes her.
I need to download the rest of Meghan’s fall afternoon Ezri photos, but more may appear on the blog.
