Though how mature Ezri is in her eating habits is questionable.

Two different days at Cosley Zoo

Yesterday:
Duck feeding. Last week she thought duck food might be a snack for her. This week she knows how to drop it off the bridge for the ducks.

Last week’s visit with the gang:

Sure, all those photos are of the back of kids’ heads, but aren’t they cute anyway?
Breakfast like a big kid
May 2nd, 2010 — Uncategorized

This morning Ezri climbed up onto a chair at the table at breakfast time. I think she is ready to be out of the high chair and eat right at the table. She did a great job using a plate at the table this morning for her banana and bagel breakfast.

ABC Song

In this video Ezri sings (too softly) a little bit of her version of the ABC song.
You may not be able to tell, so just take my word for it.

She pounds her feet into the floor with rhythm too.

In the backyard

She really wants to blow her own bubbles, but just holding the wand in front of her and making an “o” shape with her mouth is not working. Putting the wand in her mouth is certainly not working.
Dandelion Death Squad

Once we imagined Dandelion Death Squad would be a good band name. Ezri has joined the band. She likes to pick and crush dandelions. Guess they won’t get the chance to go to seed.

Lincoln Park
April 18th, 2010 — Uncategorized
Ezri went out to DeKalb this afternoon and visited the park at Lincoln School where her dad played as a kid.
This is a new slide since her dad’s time on the playground.

This is Ezri in the concrete cheese play structure that Eric and Amy played on as children.
It seems much smaller to Eric to be inside it now.
Ezri’s gotten much more steady on her feet in recent weeks. She now refers to slides and swings as “wheeee.” I guess I know what noise I make when I push her on the swings or send her down the slide. “Wheeeee!”
