Popsicle Loving

Yesterday was a practically perfect summer day. We went to the park, set up the wading pool in the backyard, and went to an outdoor kids concert at the arboretum in the evening.
Nothing says summer quite like popsicles in the backyard after splashing.
Ezri goes to a pool party. Splashtastic.

Thanks, Liz, for the matching skirts. More than one mom at the celebration asked me where we got them.
Ladye Ezri graduates the Imperial Academy

At her first Comics Convention, C2E2 at the McCormick Center, Ezri had an eventful day. First she was dubbed “Ladye Ezri” by a woman with an impressive sword and an even more impressive dress.
Quickly moving from long ago to long, long ago and far, far away, Ezri donned her C3PO costume from Halloween (which still fits, aside from the legs now being about 2 inches too short), and went to the Star Wars Imperial Academy.
Here, they issued helmets and blasters, and put the cadets through a series of drills, before issuing a certificate to each cadet.
Along the way, she met a stormtrooper
and her counterpart, R2-D2. We were both so excited to get this picture that we forgot to get one where her mask was off.
Despite the long lines, the whole family had a good time.
