It’s not just that she is gentle enough to be around. Ezri is now sought after by Ellie as a companion and petter.

The 10:30 a.m. Cinderella movie was sold out, so we bought tickets for noon. With time on our hands, we ended up getting Shamrock shakes. Time well spent.

Also, the ridiculously huge and comfy seats may have had something to do with why the show was sold out. I think the theater used to have half again as many seats before the remodel.

They watched the movie in something like this position for a time, but with their heads on the raised foot of the recliner.

I think the best part of this parent observation class was the end when the three girls were handed white ribbons on sticks and told to dance however they felt to “Let it Go” from the Frozen soundtrack. There was passion on that dance floor.

A: What was your favorite part of today?
e: Playing in the backyard with Lor-lor-Lori and Ja-ja-ja-son and I-I-Ivan.
A: Ivan, what was your favorite?
i: Da part where Lori and Ezri and me hitted Jason with the bomb and beated on him.

So, the kids had fun playing with Jason and Lori this afternoon. They didn’t look too beat up when I got home from work. Lori left this balloon fashion for the kids. Ezri is modeling, but did not take a break from eating a Starburst candy. Priorities are straight.

This week the weather is warmer.
Spring at last. . .

The kids have gotten to spin at the park.

We’ve walked to and from school.

We’ve had a picnic. We walked around the block and discovered that if Ezri walks backwards while Ivan walks forwards that she and Ivan walk at about the same speed. We’ve played on our porch. We’ve opened the sandbox in the backyard. We are thinking about our garden and have purchased seeds.

We were ready for some outside fun.

Ezri was sworn in today at her very first Daisy scout meeting.  She had a great time.

I discovered that, apparently, her favorite color is now yellow.  Who knew?  And her favorite thing to do with me is to play Mario Kart, which we’ve done exactly once, over a year ago.  And her mom makes good food  (foob).

One of the best parts of playing outside, is coming in for hot cocoa.

A few things Ezri has said of late:

Speaking about Silly Sally who went to town walking backwards and upside down,
A: That’s quite a feat.
e: No, it’s quite some hands!

After one night of my working on a scarf, Ezri found it was heard to say,
“Is that all?” She went on to opine that after more practice with her knitting doll perhaps she could knit and help me move along faster.

e: Walking backwards with Audrey.
(We went to the zoo. The lemurs were cool, but walking backwards with a friend was awesome!)
