Hello from Hrafn House!
July 7th, 2015 — Uncategorized
At Adam’s housewarming party, he filled this play house with his friends’ kids. Adam and Lisa let the kids write on the walls with chalk. They are pretty great taggers. I think Ezri was ready to move into the play house named Hrafn House with its raven flag.

Meghan shared her funnel cake with us.
Ivan got his first taste of funnel cake and declared it yummy.
There was also a stand with like 12 different flavors of slushie.
Ezri made a pink and purple slushie.
Ivan said, “I will make mine christmas colors!”
This is while waiting for the ferris wheel to get its tire changed. The wait was too long we went home.
Eric and Ivan on the Jumpin’ Jack.
Here the kids are riding the motorcycles.
Ezri did not freak out riding this ride, but watching her did freak me out while she spun way up in the air.

Ezri was invited to see her friend Julia’s theatrical debut as a munchkin member of the Lullaby League. There was a dress-up and photo booth corner and an opportunity to meet the cast after the show. Also, there were cookies and pizza at intermission. Ivan fell in love with all the green worn in the Emerald City and watching the follow spot operator. Ezri was rapt with attention during all of the munchkin musical numbers and really loved seeing her friend on stage.

Ezri wrote out this recipe for the culinary masterpiece that she and Ivan created,
“In case it tastes so good other people want to make it.”
The dish is in the red pan above the recipe notebook.
3 Yellow eggs + 1 orange + 1 muffin + 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream + 1 scoop of strawberry ice cream = souffle (according to Ezri)

Ezri at the finish line for the St. Baldrick’s fun charity run.
Tomorrow is her last day of kindergartner, but you know what she’s faster than a lot of 1st graders too.

On the big stage at the DG North auditorium, she has found her red X to stand on.
Practicing her poses in the yard for the fairy dance to a song from the Tinkerbell soundtrack.
This is more her regular level of grace:
My favorite thing about watching her dance is still the way she sometimes bites her tongue when she is focused. It reminds me so much of my father.
